Espresso Coffee Pods Makes it Easy

Especially in the morning don’t you just want that espresso machine to hurry up and give you cup of coffee? There are a number of automatic espresso coffee machines on the market, but somehow the automatic feature simply doesn’t make them any quicker.

In fact, waiting for your espresso probably will even make you late for work. Not the way you want to start the work day. However, there is a way to speed up the process and that is by using espresso coffee pods.

If you haven’t tried using a pod to make coffee then you are probably in for a pleasant surprise. An espresso coffee pod is something for all espresso lovers that want their cup of espresso on-demand!

How the Espresso Coffee Pod Works

Espresso coffee drinkers may be a bit skeptical at the thought of using a pod to make their coffee. The whole idea of an expresso is that it is made with care and an espresso machine.

On the other hand, using espresso coffee pods can be a great tool for people who are always in a hurry because all the flavor and benefits of the espresso stay the same.

What the espresso coffee pod is, though, is just like making a regular expresso except that it gets made automatically. You don’t have to grind the beans, tamp them and then make sure the steam and everything else is right. You just have to add the pod, make sure there is enough water and press a button.

Of course, these coffee pods are designed to work with different types of espresso machines. You just need to get the right ones for your machine. You can purchase them online or in grocery stores. Essentially they all have the same great taste that an espresso is known for.

The only difference is that the espresso is made much quicker than a regular cup of espresso at home and you don’t have to go to a coffee shop to get one.

If you have never tried an espresso machine that uses coffee pods, you are in for a surprise. A delightful surprise at that. Your morning espresso will taste great but more importantly it will be made faster and cheaper than going to the local coffee shop.

Is Coffee Good for You?

There are so many different articles and studies about whether or not coffee is good for you.  With all the research it is hard to know which one to believe. Certainly having too much caffeine is not good for you but having one or two cups of day probably isn’t going to harm your health.

Some studies show that caffeine can have different effects on different people. Coffee does have higher caffeine than tea and of course there is always decaffeinated coffee.

There is some evidence that rheumatoid arthritis and heart attacks have been linked to drinking coffee.  As well it can increase blood pressure in some people and it can change the level of stress hormones in our bodies.

If you are experiencing heart palpitations, jitters  or feeling weak then you might want to take a look at the amount of coffee you are consuming.

Certainly if you are pregnant drinking coffee might be something to cut out while you are carrying your child. Studies have shown that malformation and low birth weight can occur with women who are coffee drinkers.

Women need to be careful with the amount of coffee they drink because it can reduce the ability to absorb calcium as well as other important minerals. If you are breast feeding your baby you might want to forgo that cup of coffee because you can actually pass on the caffeine to the child.

As a side note on the health effect of the of drinking regular coffee, it has been found that by drinking filtered coffee, none of these effects that can effect cholesterol take place. As well drinking instant coffee seems to be a healthier choice as well.

If you are going to drink coffee you might want to switch to one that uses green coffee beans. It seems this bean offers a lot of antioxidants just like green tea and grape seed extract.

Green coffee beans don’t have the same negative effects as regular coffee. In fact it can boost metabolism by changing how glucose is distributed in the body. It can also boost energy levels but it doesn’t increase cholesterol.

By the way when it comes to caffeine and the possibility of liver disease, studies indicate that coffee may in fact support liver health in some people. They found that people who drank more than two cups of coffee a day and were at risk of developing liver disease as a result of drinking too much alcohol, had less liver damage.

Just remember that although there can be some serious side effects from drinking too much coffee, a small amount might not be a problem.  Only you and your doctor can say for sure.

Espresso the Perfect Drink

If you are like me, and you love that first cup of coffee in the morning, you are going to fall in love with espresso coffee.  Not only can you drink it straight but you can also make all sorts of other drinks such as a Latte or Cappucino.

I’ll bet that there are more espresso drinkers today in the world than there are regular coffee drinkers. This is because espresso can be found in many parts of Europe as well as in North America. Just go into any coffee shop and you can order your favorite espresso.

On of the best reasons for drinking this delightful beverage is that it tastes awesome. It most definitely has more flavor than your standard cup of coffee. It is thicker and full body and more caffeine as well.

espresso1Most people like to sip the foam, or crema, which is the light colored coating that sits on top of the coffee. Drink it plain or sprinkle cinnamon or chocolate on top!

There are so many variations to this drink it is unbelievable so it appeals to a wide variety of folks. The list is endless but you can find Americano, Latte, Capuccino, Aledandrino and Breve at your local coffee shop. Try them all or pick one for your favorite.

Two different types that I didn’t realize even existed is the Affogato which is typically served over a type of gelato, like vanilla. As for Alexandrino it includes a layer of condensed milk and is often served with a fresh cinnamon stick to add more flavor to the drink!

Do you like your espresso straight up?  This is called an espresso shot. It can be very strong but it is only 1-ounce. Having a couple of these will definitely get your day started with a bang!

There are many reasons why people like espresso.  For me it is the flavor and the fact that I can add frothy milk.  I like mine more like a Latte with a little brown sugar and frothy milk on top.
